Droppe ("we", "our", "us") operates the Droppe mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, phone number, email address, and delivery address.
Location Data: We collect GPS location data for delivery tracking, route optimization, and address verification. Drivers share real-time location during active deliveries only.
Transaction Data: We store payment records, subscription details, delivery history, and container tracking data to provide our services.
Device Information: We collect device type, operating system version, and app version for crash reporting and performance monitoring via Firebase Crashlytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain our delivery subscription service
- To process orders, payments, and manage subscriptions
- To track deliveries, assign drivers, and optimize routes
- To manage container/asset tracking (given, taken, deposits)
- To send delivery notifications and service updates
- To improve app performance and fix crashes
- To comply with legal obligations
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL database) with Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring you can only access your own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Business owners can only see data for their own customers. Drivers can only see deliveries assigned to them. Subscribers can only see their own subscriptions and delivery history.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Your delivery business: Name, phone, address, and subscription details are shared with businesses you subscribe to
- Assigned drivers: Your delivery address and name are shared with drivers assigned to deliver to you
- Service providers: Firebase (crash reporting), Supabase (data hosting)
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect rights
5. Location Data
Subscribers: Location is used only for address verification and delivery mapping. We do not track you continuously.
Drivers: GPS location is tracked during active delivery hours only, for route optimization and customer delivery tracking. Location tracking stops when the driver goes offline.
Business owners: We do not collect location data from business owners.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Delivery history and financial records are retained for up to 3 years for business compliance. You can request data export or deletion at any time.
7. Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of your data via the app (Settings > Export Data)
- Correction: Update your profile information anytime in the app
- Deletion: Request account deletion via the app or at droppe.app/delete-account
- Portability: Export your data in standard format
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
